Freshman point guard Joseph "JoJo" Staton (Buffalo, NY) helped keep the Spartans atop the Mid-State Athletic Conference standings scoring 71 points in three games that included wins over Broome and Finger Lakes. In the Finger Lakes game on the road, Staton scored 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field....including going 5-for-5 from the 3-point line. For his efforts on the week he was named both NJCAA Region III and Mid-State Conference Player-of-the-Week.
