Lady Spartans Show Signs of Improvement

Cayuga had one of their strongest halves of this season…as they came out swinging at Erie today. Holding back on of the nation's best offenses, Cayuga keep itself in the game only allowing 3 first half goals while putting one in the net themselves. Running towards the end of the first half, Meahgan Westmiller (Port Byron, NY) was able to pick the ball up in the midfield and dibble past the Erie defense, passing a ball across the middle that hit off the goalie then back to Tatiana Raymundo (Southern Cayuga, NY) who then passed it to Rebecca Segouin, (Fulton, NY) and she neatly poked it into to Erie's goal.

The second half was all Erie. Cayuga wore down and gave up 8 goals as the Cayuga defense was unable to hold back the attacks from Erie.

Coach Robillard commented after the game, "We are getting great games and good showings from all the ladies and great to see this team coming together, but we still have some work to do . We have a talented team that can score some goals and win some games…and we just need to put together a full 90 minutes."

Cayuga will host Corning Community College at Holland Stadium on Sunday 10/8 at 4pm.
