Spartan Soccer Gets Convincing Win Over Jefferson

The Cayuga CC men's soccer team won their sixth straight Region III contest with a solid 4-0 victory on the road at Jefferson. Sophomore forward Mikel Abando (Bilboa, Spain) scored 3 goals to lead the spartan offensive attack. Fellow Spainiard Ander Echaniz (Deba, Spain) assisted on three goals....while freshman Jose Sanchez scored the other Spartan goal. Keepers Konrad Pawlikowski and Max Dixon only had to make 3 saves behind a solid Cayuga defense to preserve the shutout.

The nationally ranked #12 Spartans play their final regular season game when they visit Mohawk Valley on Saturday...before learning their seed in next week's Region III playoffs.
