Spartans Mount Comeback in Win at Corning

With five minutes remaining in the game, the Spartans trailed host Corning by 14 points. Cayuga then mounted a 22-4 run to end the game and escape with a big 94-88 win on the road against the Red Barons. Devin Morris (Buffalo, NY) led the way with 32 points...that included eight 3-pointers. Messiah Brown (Bronx, NY) was big in the comeback scoring 21 of his 25 points in the second half. Point guard JoJo Staton (Buffalo, NY) ran the show again scoring 14 points and dishing out 11 assists. Naseem Baynes (Buffalo, NY) was a presence down low in chipping in with 13 points and 7 rebounds. The Spartans extend their lead in the Mid-State Conference standings with a 6-1 record...and travel to Fulton-Montgomery to face the Raiders in a non-conference matchup on Saturday.
