Spartans Handle Clinton 8-1

The Cayuga CC men's soccer team was led by a pair of three-goal performances by Dennis Bates (Oswestry, England) and Matt Devlin (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in a convincing 8-1 win over Clinton. Devlin was coming off a 4-goal performance in the team's opener the previous day. Kent Meier (Farmington, PA) and Oran Grigg (Birmingham, England) netted the Spartans other two goals. Meier also assisted on two of the Spartan goals. Clinton did manage to to get on the board in the first half on a long shot from about 40 yards out.

Cayuga continues on the road and will now travel to Adirondack on Sunday 9/8.
