Cayuga freshman Hazel Martinez was named Player of the Week for the National Junior College Athletic Association's Region III.

Wyatt Palmer threw four innings for Cayuga, picking up the win in the Spartans' 9-0 victory over Corning on Wednesday.

Solid pitching and timely hitting pushed the Cayuga Community College Baseball Team to a doubleheader sweep of the Corning Community College Red Barons at Falcon Park on Wednesday.

Cayuga's Hazel Martinez slides in safe after a wild pitch in the Spartans 12-2 win Sunday over Columbia Greene. Martinez smashed a three-run homer in the game and finished the doubleheader a combined 4-for-6 with seven runs batted-in.
