Spartans Beat Rival Lazers

The Cayuga Spartans men's basketball team (defending conference regular season champs, conference tournament champs) opens up conference play with a victory over Onondaga C.C. 92-81 in rematch of last season's MSAC Championship game.  Spartans has (6) players in double figure scoring and was led by Jared Donalson (Syracuse, NY) with 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 1 block, including a (10-12) fg percentage.  Xavier Norgbey (Bronx, NY) chipped in with 16 points, Delquan Holmes (Syracuse, NY) added 15 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals.  While Justin Staton (Freeport, NY) and Eddie Byrd (Liberty, NY) both had 12 points, with Staton pulling down 10 rebounds.  Mikquan Donerlson (Syracuse, NY) added 10 points and had 6 assists.  Cayuga returns to action Thursday night, when they travel to play Corning.
