The Cayuga Spartans Men's basketball team had four players in double figure scoring as they were defeated by Division II Genesee C.C. 105-72. Glenn Taggart (Rochester, NY) led Cayuga with 22 points, Zaki Thomas (Paterson, NJ) and Joseph Godette (New Rochelle, NY) each had 19 points, while freshmen DaVaughn Johnson (Bronx, NY) added his first career double-double 10 points and 10 rebounds. "This was a tough loss against a very good Genesee team. A good test for us before we open up the Mid-State conference" says Coach Tony Borges.
Cayuga will start conference play January 7th, at rival Onondaga C.C. with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
