Cayuga Cruises Past Broome

The CCC men's basketball team cruise past Broome CC71-53 in a Mid-State Athletic Conference game at Spartan Hall.  The Spartans (7-10 overall, 2-2 in conference) played good defense holding Broome to 28 pints at the half and only giving up 25 points in the 2^nd half.  "This was our best effort on the defensive end all season, very proud of my guys tonight," says Coach Borges.  Zaki Thomas (Paterson, NJ) and Glenn Taggart (Rochester, NY) were top scorers for Cayuga with 17 points and 16 points.  Thomas also grabbed 10 rebounds, while getting 2 steals, and Taggart had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.  Also DaVaughn Johnson (Bronx, NY) added 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block.  The Spartans travel to Finger Lakes C.C. Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
