Spartans Close Out Season at SUNY Delhi

After being down 33-34 at halftime, the Cayuga Spartans Men's Basketball team fell to #1 seed SUNY Delhi 55-73 in the quarter finals of the Region III Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.  With the loss, the Spartans close out their season 11-18 overall, 11-14 in Region III, and 5-7 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.  "The kids left it all on the floor, that's all I can ask for out of these young men.  We started losing out legs at about the 10 minute mark in the 2^nd half" says Coach Borges.  The Spartans placed three players in double figures, as Joe Godette (New Rochelle, NY) led the red and black with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks.  Glenn Taggart (Rochester, NY) tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal while DaVaughn Johnson (Bronx, NY) added 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block.
