Spartans Drop Close Decision to Davis

The Spartans late rally was not enough as Cayuga falls to Davis College.  After building a 15 points lead in the second half, Davis College watched Cayuga climb back into the game with very good team defense.  "We played really well on the defensive end, but missed a lot of shots inside the paint, we have to finish those" says Coach Borges.  Cayuga had four players in double figures Danny DeFranco (Auburn, NY) led with 15 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals, while Bennito Ayarza (Brooklyn, NY) had 13 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 9 rebounds, Brandon Pichardo (New York, NY) added 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Mike Guity (Syracuse, NY) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals.  Cayuga plays Clinton C.C. on Saturday with a 5:30 start.
