Spartans Fall on Road to Kats

Cayuga Community College Men's Basketball fell on the road to Erie Community College on Tuesday.

The Spartans struggled on offense and couldn't overcome a slow start, losing 90-42 to the Division II Kats. Cayuga is now 0-4 on the season.

The Kats scored the first seven points and didn't relinquish the lead the entire game. Cayuga trailed 46-14 at the half and was not able to pull closer in the second half.

Guard Marcus Ridley was the lone Spartan to finish in double figures, scoring 17 points and shooting 5-of-6 from three-point range. Guards Jorge Jimenez and Donald Grant each had four assists, and Tony Borges finished with nine points.

Cayuga's next contest is home on Saturday, Nov. 18, against conference and regional opponent SUNY Broome. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
