Spartan Golf Team Finishes Second at Hawk Invitational

The Spartan golf team finished 2^nd at the 2012 Hawk Invitational hosted by Mohawk Valley at the Oneida Community Golf Club in the first match of the NJCAA Region III golf schedule. Cayuga (326) finished just two shots behind defending NJCAA National Champion Monroe CC (324)…in the field of ten teams.

Jake DeChick (Weedsport, NY) shot the second best round of the tournament with a 78. Bob Dushatinski (Auburn, NY) finished in a tie for third with a 79. The other Spartan qualifying scores were posted by Harrison Davenport (Auburn, NY) and Gavin Dennis (Weedsport, NY) with 84 and 85, respectively.

Cayuga CC plays next as host of the Nicholas J. DeSocio Memorial Invitational on Friday, April 20 at Highland Park Golf Club…and travels to Onondaga (4/21) and Jefferson (4/22) Tournaments for the remainder of this weekend's events.
