Spartans Struggle at MCC Invitational

The Spartans had a tough go of it at the Wildwood Country Club, in Rush, NY this afternoon, with only Simon Fricano (Union Springs, NY) posting a round in the 80's (86).  The team has been through a long tournament season, and Coach Renaud noted, "I think the team has done a nice job of persevering through the early season weather, and the wear and tear associated with a competitive collegiate golf season."

"Simon (Fricano) continues to impress me with his steady play, being able to walk each tournament with a nagging ankle injury," continued Renaud.  "We just hope the rest of the guys can settle in tomorrow at Batavia, post a solid round, in order to carry us into the regional tournament a week from Monday."

The Spartans get no rest as they head back out to Western New York tomorrow morning for their 10 a.m. tee off time with host Genesee Community College.
