Cayuga Ends Regular Season With Win

The Cayuga Spartan Golf Team concluded its regular season in dramatic fashion with a one-stroke victory over Niagara at the Genesee Invitational at Batavia Country Club on May 5. 

Cayuga's Ryan Chalupnicki carded a 2-over par 74 to share medalist honors. Hunter Hubel was next shooting a 76, followed by EJ Townsend's 84 and Cody Helmer's 86. 

On Saturday, Cayuga placed second in the Niagara Invite in Lockport. Hunter Hubel was co-medalist of the day, shooting a 74. EJ Townsend shot 75, as Ryan Chalupnicki and John Rice each shot 83. 

The Spartans have already captured the MSAC Conference Championship this season, and will compete in the NJCAA Region III Championships on May 13 and 14 at Timber Banks in Baldwinsville.
