The Spartans played Finger Lakes CC Lakers (8-9-2) and found the opposition too strong suffering a 5-0 loss. On a frigid day the Spartan goalkeeper, Bior Ajak (Syracuse, NY), made some spectacular saves but was unable to stop the Lakers from leading 2-0 by half time. Injuries caused the Spartans to be sparse, and this ultimately made it hard for the Spartans to offer an attacking presence. The Lakers found it hard to find the back of the next due to the tenacious Spartan team, led by Jason Boxx (Brentford, England) in the center of defense, fought hard until the final minute.
