Spartans Drops one to Genesee

The Cayuga Men's soccer team has lost to 2^nd ranked team in the country Genesee Community College. The Spartans had a good attacking performance, but were punished by the Cougars due to easy mistakes at the back.  The Spartans went down 0-2 early in the game, but showed good resilience and desire, and put a goal in through Chris Davison (Newcastle, England) assisted by Paul McCormick (Glasgow, Scotland). Soon after, another mistake helped the Cougars go up 3-1, but again the Spartans responded quick with a goal from Paul McCormick, assisted by Paul Coyle (Glasgow, Scotland). The Spartans defense continued to make mistake and eventually the Cougars were able to capitalize on them again, late in the first half to go up 4-2, and very early in the second half to go up 5-2, and 6-2 respectively. The Spartans however, never gave up and continued to push the Cougars, having a series of goal scoring opportunities and dominating the last 30min of the game. Sean Richards (Cardiff, Wales) converted a PK in the 62^nd minute to make it 6-3.
