The Lady Spartans lost both games 13-5 and 6-1 on Saturday when they faced Mohawk Valley Community College. McKenzie Harris (Liverpool, NY) pitched the entire first game striking out 5 batters. Miranda McGloon (Waterloo, NY) went 3 for 3 in the first game scoring 2 runs. The second game the Spartans went with freshmen pitcher Kayla Swenszkowski (Oswego, NY), who hasn't gotten many innings in this season on the mound put together a great performance that forced the Hawks to struggle in the box. Nina Kowal (Auburn, NY) led the Spartans the 2nd game going 4 for 4 with a double and an rbi. The Spartans now look to make a run for the post season with the next 8 games.
