Lady Spartans Drop Both to National Ranked Red Barons

The Lady Spartans had two tough losses on Wednesday against the Lady Red Barons of Corning.  The 7^th Ranked Red Barons used a balanced hitting performance and a solid defensive stand, the scores for both games were 8-2 and 8-3.  The Spartans were led by Brittany Husted (Baldwinsville, NY) who went 2 for 3 in the first game with 2 doubles, Ciara Hunter (Weedsport, NY) also hit a double and Cassie Weeks went 2 for 3.  The second game was a bit more exciting as the score was tied 3-3 going into the 6^th inning.  However big hits by the Red Barons in both the 6^th and 7^th inning made it difficult for the Spartans to come back.  The Lady Spartans look to finish out their season this coming weekend with games against Clinton C.C. and Columbia Greene C.C.
