Lady Spartans Finish the Season With a Tough Loss

The Lady Spartans dropped two tough losses to end the season 10-6 and then 11-10.  The Lady Spartans did what they needed to do with their bats, however too many errors caused unearned runs and were too much for the Spartans to come back from.  Ciara Hunter (Weedsport, NY) hit her first collegiate homerun in the 5^th inning of the second game however Columbia Greene answered back with 2 homeruns themselves.  The Lady Spartans however were not knocked down as they scored 4 more runs in the 6^th inning.  However they fell short to Columbia Greene.  McKenzie Harris (Liverpool, NY) pitched 2 outstanding games and ended her career at Cayuga with a .570 batting average for the season, which is 2^nd high in the Region while leading the region in strikeouts with 149..  Danielle Vuillemot ended the season going 5 for 7 for the day and 4 for 4 for the last game ending her season with a .519 batting average, which is 6^th overall, Jamison Valentino (Union Springs, NY) was 5^th overall with a .525 batting average.  Miranda McGloon (Waterloo, NY) led the Region with stolen bases having 43.
