Spartans Lose Tough Games to Niagara

The Lady Spartans dropped two very close games to Niagara County Community College on Thursday, losing 8-7 and 6-4.  Unfortunately weather played a huge factor in the second game which was called early.  The first game went down to the last inning after Danielle Vuillemot (Auburn, NY) hit a solo shot over the left field fence and then Stefanie Mitchell (Onondaga, NY) followed up with a double in the 7th inning and a game tying single by Keirstan Bozeat (Port Byron, NY).  An error in the bottom of the 7th inning ended the game.

The second game proved much of the same with going back and forth with NCCC striking first with 2 runs.  The Spartans answered back in the 2nd inning with a triple by Stefanie Mitchell.  With the Spartans down by 4 Vuillemot hit another homerun scoring Jamison Valentino (Union Springs, NY).  Unfortunately the game had to be called due to lightening.  The Spartans look to bounce back on Saturday against Mohawk Valley Community College.
