Errors Become the Difference Maker Against Genesee
Lady Spartans dropped both of their games to the Lady Cougars of Genesee Community College on Sunday by a score of 8-0 and then 17-3. Stefanie Mitchell (Onondaga, NY) pitched the first game where she allowed 7 hits and struck out 3 batters. Unfortunately errors played a huge role in the 5 inning loss as the Spartans had a total of 5 errors. Jamison Valentino (Union Springs, NY) took to the mound for the second game of the double header and with the Spartans only down by a run going into the 3rd inning once again errors were the difference maker. In the second game the Spartans had a total of 8 errors, making it very difficult to come back from. The Spartans look to bounce back in a positive way on Tuesday as they face Onondaga.
