The Cayuga Lady Spartans battled back from an early 20-4 deficit and lost a heartbreaking 62-58 decision at SUNY Delhi. The Spartans cut the lead to 59-58 with 2 minutes to play but then couldn't score again. China Agnew (Syracuse, NY) led the Spartans with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Latina Smith (Syracuse, NY) scored 16 points, pulled down 5 rebounds, and had 4 assists. Shanna Shaft (Lansing, NY) scored 12 points on 4 3 pointers, and Tyresha Mathis (Syracuse, NY) scored 9 points, pulled down a team high 15 rebounds, and blocked 6 shots. The Spartans return to the court after the holiday with a game at Hudson Valley CC on 11/27/12.
