The Cayuga Lady Spartans used a balance attack to gain their first win of the young season 82-37 over Word of Life Bible College. Shanna Shaff (Lansing, NY) led the Spartans with 26 points and 6 steals, Miranda Chalton (Rochester, NY) scored 16 points and had 13 rebounds, Haylie Karlsen (Romulus, NY) scored 14 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals, while Samantha Shaheen (Union Springs, NY) had 13 rebounds and recorded 5 assists, and Nikki Loveless (Port Byron, NY) scored 9 points, as all 9 players scored in a great team victory. Cayuga will look to continue its winning ways when they travel to Fulton-Montgomery Saturday and Schenectady on Sunday.
