Playing their 5th game in 8 days proved too much for the Lady Spartans to handle as fatigue set in during the second half of a 75-53 loss to visiting Tompkins Cortland Community College. Trailing only 35-34 at the half the Spartans went ice cold in the second half. Haylie Karlsen (Romulus, NY) led Cayuga with 15 points and 8 rebounds, Shanna Shaff (Lansing, NY) scored 12 points on four 3 pointers and Miranda Charlton (Rochester, NY) scored 10 points and pulled down a team high 15 rebounds. Cayuga is in action again when they host Onondaga Community College on Saturday January 25th, all proceeds from ticket sales and t-shirts will be donated to Coaches vs. Cancer.
