A strong second half start was the key in the Cayuga Lady Spartans picking up their second straight victory. Trailing 31-24 at the half the Spartans started the second half on a 10-0 run to take the lead that they would never relinquish in route to a 68-59 victory over Herkimer Community College. Maxine Williams (Jamestown, NY) led the Spartans with 25 points and 10 rebounds, Allison Chase (Weedsport, NY) chipped in with 10 points and 6 rebounds, while Lakin Mueller (Central Square, NY) scored 8 points, and had 3 assists. Cayuga is back in action on Wednesday January 21st when they travel to TC3 for a 5 p.m. start.
