After a very slow start for the Spartans who allowed the Pioneers to get on the board very early, the Spartans continued to work hard.  The Spartans had a few good opportunities to cut into the lead, mainly with Katie Stolz who was a constant threat on the attacking end.  Lauren Dunster did an excellent job on the defensive side of the ball.  Despite the loss of two starting defenders due to injuries the Spartans never stopped competing.  The final score was 0-8.  The Spartans next game is Oct. 6 at Erie CC.
