Spartans Endure Loss to Hornets

Despite a fantastic team effort by the Spartans the Hornets of Broome soared past the Spartans today on Emerson Field.  The Spartans were unable to capitalize on several scoring opportunities.  Broome forward Amanda Woods scored the only goal for the Hornets in the first half.  She then was able to score the first goal of the second half.  The third and fourth goals came from midfielder Brittani Howell.  In the final 4 minutes of the second half midfielder Kate Fagan was able to net the last two goals for the Hornets.  Spartan's goalkeeper Kiera Browne recorded 29 saves. 

Cayuga will travel to Onondaga CC on Wednesday and play at 5:00pm.
