Women's Soccer Beat Red Barons 1-0

The Spartans were able to defeat the Red Barons of Corning CC today on Emerson Field 1-0. Tia Segretto secured the win for the Spartans with her second half goal in the 23^rd minute.  The goal was set up by a pass from Kiera Browne just outside of 18 yards.  The Spartans outshot the Red Barons 24-11.  Neither team was able to capitalize on multiple corner kick opportunities which favored the Red Barons 6-4.  Sarah Mindek posted her first shut-out as a Spartan having an outstanding day in goal with numerous huge saves.

The Spartans are home again on Saturday 9/10 at 3pm against Mohawk Valley CC.
