Lady Spartans Encounter Rough go at Home

Cayuga's Lady Spartans soccer team was handed their 5th loss of the season against visiting Genesee Community College Wednesday. Genesee scored two early goal and then another in the first half to go up 3 to 0. Cayuga came out strong for the first part of the second half until Genesee was able again to slot home 3 more goals for a final of 6 to 0. Cayuga did put together some fine defensive an offensive play but never seemed to be comfortable in the game itself.

Coach Robillard added this after the game, "It was just one of those games were everything we tried didn't work. Genesee is a tough team and we could not match their speed of play. I though Malarie Nelson (Seneca Falls, NY) and Martha Caster (Fulton, NY) played well in the middle of both offense and defense."

Goalkeeper Bre Becker had 16 saves
