Carrie Lysik enters her first year as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach of the Cayuga Community College Spartans. She comes to CCC after stints at Brown University as an assistant soccer coach and Frostburg State University as the head coach. At Frostburg State her team achieved unprecedented success winning the 2001 AMCC conference tournament and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the programs history. Lysik was named AMCC conference Coach of the Year in 2001 becoming the first FSU women’s soccer coach to earn the honor. She also led her team to the most wins in a season in program history. Her record while a head coach at FSU was 39-22-0. She also served as a member of the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Rankings Committee and supervised the FSU Student Advisory Committee.
A native of upstate New York, Lysik attended Fabius-Pompey High School where she received All-State honors her senior year as a forward. After high school she received her Bachelor Degree at Keuka College and played soccer and basketball all four years. She was named Regional All-American for soccer and a team captain for both sports. After graduation she played semi-pro with the Finger Lakes Heartbreakers. Lysik was a graduate assistant for the women's soccer program at FSU from 1997-99. She received her Master’s in Education in 1999. Over the years Lysik has participated and coached in the Olympic Development Program and Empire State Games. Lysik is a summer soccer camp veteran having worked summer camps since 1992. Prior to moving back to Syracuse, Lysik resided in South Carolina where she coached at Carolina Forest High School and led the team to post season all three years she was head coach. Currently Lysik also coaches in the Empire United Soccer Academy with several age groups.
Lysik is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and holds her National Coaching License.

Laura Simmons enters the 2011 season in her first year as a student-assistant coach. Laura graduated from Auburn High School in 2008. During her four years of high school she played indoor and outdoor track and she played field hockey in her junior year. Laura received Outstanding Achievement in 2005-2006 for indoor track and made the All-Star Team in 2005 as a freshman in outdoor track. Laura broke the school record in 2007 for the shot put and MVP in 2008 for track and field.
Laura graduated from Cayuga Community College in 2011 with her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. While at Cayuga she played two years on the Women’s Soccer Team in the midfield.
