Volleyball Plays Tough at Jefferson Tournament

The Cayuga Spartans traveled to Jefferson Community College where they faced off against Onondaga Community College, Monroe Community College, and Erie Community College. The Lady Spartans battled hard through all three best of 3 matches but fell short of victory. Coach McDonough stated, "I can't really  be upset about the record from the weekend. We played three very good teams and we have corrected several problem areas we've had to this point. Our serving was a lot stronger and our hitters were smarter about their ball placement. We enjoy playing tough schools early on because it exposes our weaknesses and gives us a better idea of what we need to fix."

Stat leaders for the weekend include Lexi Tucker (Union Springs, NY) with 27 digs and Jadda Phillips (Syracuse, NY) with 23 assists.

The Lady Spartans will be hosting their first home match on Wednesday night against Davis College.
