Spartans Go 1-2 at First Regional POD

This past weekend the Lady Spartans traveled to Broome for their first regional POD of the season. The faced off against Broome Community College, TC3, and Delhi Community College.

The Spartans started off the morning with a tough loss to Delhi but bounced back in their second match of the day against TC3. They finished the day with a hard fought 3-1 loss against Broome but posted some of their best stats of the day.

Jadda Phillips (Syracuse, NY) led her offense with 80 assists throughout the course of the day. She recorded 38 against Broome; a season high.  Heather Thompson (Solvay, NY) also had a season high with 21 kills against TC3 and a total of 37 kills for the day. Defensively, Lexi Tucker (Union Springs, NY) had 52 digs bringing her to 213 on the season. 

The Spartans travel to Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday for their 3rd conference match of the season and then host a Region 3 POD on Saturday, September 20th.
