Spartans Fall in Opening Match to Hornets

The 2015 Cayuga Community College Women's volleyball kicked off with a tough 3 game loss to Broome CC. In game one, the Spartans fought point for point with Broome, only to fall 25-23. The second game ended with a 25-18 loss, 6 missed serves proved too much to overcome against a talented opponent. Game 3 finished off the Spartans, but they showed a lot of heart and made some very nice defensive plays that had the crowd roaring in excitement.

There were a lot of positives to take from the match. After an equipment malfunction to our starting setter, Jo Gromoske (Clyde-Savannah) stepped in and did an outstanding job filling in at a moment's notice. Showing a glimpse of the bright future ahead for the program. The women are back at it tomorrow at home against TC3 at 6:00pm in Spartan Hall.
