Spartan Volleyball Drops 3 at Monroe Pod

The Cayuga Lady Spartans travelled to Monroe Community College this Satrday and had a tough afternoon losing all 3 matches, in a very hot humid gym. The day started with a match against the No. 7 ranked team from Monroe, and although the team lost 3-0, they showed a lot of grit and fought them for every point. Genesee CC was next, and resulted in another 3-0 loss. The team learned a few valuable lessons that should help them improve over the rest of the season. They finished off the day with a hard fought 3-2 game loss to Finger Lakes. The match was the team's best effort to date, showing attitude and toughness that will hopefully carry through the rest of the season.

Some of the team leaders for the day were, Jadda Phillips (Corcoran) with 73 total assists. Nyasha Terry (Brooklyn, NY) with 99 attacks and 40 kills. The defensive trio From Clyde Savannah -    Jo Helen Gromoske, Hollie Seguin, And Taylor King-Carr combined for 63 digs on the day.
