Volleyball Advances to Playoff Round at Jefferson Invitational

The Cayuga women's volleyball team travelled to Watertown to participate in the Jefferson CC Invitational Tournament. The team finished 2^nd in their pool with wins over TC3 and Herkimer and a loss to Fulton-Montgomery. The two wins advanced the Spartans to the playoff round…where they lost a tough match to host, and eventual tournament winner, Jefferson CC. The team finished 2-2 on the day and took some big strides forward, fighting hard against some very tough opponents. Some of the tournament statistical leaders were Tanasia Green (Syracuse, NY) with 9 aces and Jojo Gromoske (Clyde- Savannah, NY) with 72 assists on the day.

Up next for the Spartans is the team's home opener Tuesday night against Davis at 6:00pm in Spartan Hall.
