Volleyball Wins 2 of 3 at Adirondack Pod

On Saturday 10/1, the Cayuga women's volleyball team travelled to Adirondack CC for a NJCAA Region III match pod. The team opened the day against Hudson Valley CC. Keirstan Bozeat (Port Byron) again filled in for an ailing JoJo Gromoske (Clyde-Savannah, NY) and led the team to a thrilling 5-game win. The Spartans won the first two games…only to drop games 3 and 4, before rallying to win the deciding 5^th game 15-11.

Up next the Spartans faced host Adirondack. The Spartans came out fast and won the first game only to lose the next three games…almost forcing another 5^th game before falling in the 4th game 26-28.

The team finished the day with a 3-0 match win against North Country CC. The team pulled away early and allowed every member of the team to contribute in the win. Some of the stat leaders for the day were: Keirstan Bozeat with 64 assists. Not to be out done… JoJo Gromoske added 67 assists in her. Leading the offense was Erin Brahney-Taro (Weedsport, NY) with 23 kills. Morgan Haberer (Central Square, NY) continued her blocking binge adding 3 solo blocks and 11 block assists. The Spartans next play a home match this Wednesday 10/5 against Mid-State Conference foe Jefferson CC at 7pm in Spartan Hall.
