Despite the inclement weather conditions with temperatures struggling to get out of the 30's, the Cayuga Spartan Golf Team kicked off the 2018 Spring Season with tournaments on Friday 4/13, Saturday 4/14, and Sunday 4/15. Predictably, scores tended to be on the higher side as golfers struggled to shake off the rust from a long winter and lack of on-course practice time prior to the season.

The Spartans were led by Ryan Chalupnicki (Auburn, NY) who shot rounds of 86 which was good enough for 14^th place at the Cayuga Invite. On Saturday at Timber Banks for the OCC Lazers Classic...the Spartans finished 10^th overall and 4^th among MSAC teams. Again, Chalupnicki led the way for the Spartans with an 89.

The Spartans concluded their weekend with their lowest team score of the early season as they fired a 352 at the TC Panthers Open in Cortland NY. All Spartans golfers shot their lowest rounds of the weekend as Ryan Chalupnicki led the way 82.
