Women's Hoops Wins Opening Round at Pitt-Titusville Invite

The Cayuga CC women's basketball team used a strong second half and a balanced scoring attack to beat Butler Community College 73-65 in the opening round of the Pitt-Titusville Invitational. Loren Clifford (East Syracuse, NY) led the Spartans with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Erica Helzer (Port Byron, NY) added 16 points, while fellow freshman Emily Klock (Jordan, NY) scored 13 points and collected 8 rebounds. Gabby Bell (Syracuse, NY) also had 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the victory. The Spartans even their record at 5-5 on the season...and will face host Pitt-Titusville tomorrow.
