Spartans Top Cougars, Push Record to 3-1

The Cayuga Lady Spartans used another big second-half to beat visiting Genesee Community College.

Down 37-33 at the half, Cayuga outscored the Cougars 47-29 in the second half to pull away for an 80-66 victory.

The win is Cayuga's third in a row, and improves their record to 3-1 on the season.

Jania Freeman led the Spartans with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Tanyea Jansson chipped in with 17 points and eight assists, and Fatimaah Findley scored 12 points and had three steals.

The Spartans take the road on Nov. 22 for the first time when they visit North Country Community College, who is currently ranked second in the country.
