Spartans Lose Road Contest to Raiders

The Spartans were unable to overcome an 11-point halftime deficit Wednesday, falling to Fulton-Montgomery Community College 62-47.

Cayuga played well defensively — their 62 points allowed is their third-lowest this season — but were unable to overcome a difficult night from the field. The loss drops Cayuga to 4-4 on the season.

Brianna Hirschman led the Spartans with 10 points and eight rebounds. Fatimaah Findley scored 10 points, and Janaye Gables scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds.

Cayuga closes out its first semester of action Saturday, Dec. 14, with a home contest against Mohawk Valley Community College at 1 p.m.
