Cayuga Community College Baseball lost two home contests to Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday, despite Antonio Munoz firing a one-hitter in the opener for the Spartans.

Cayuga lost 1-0 in the first contest then fell in the second game 15-1, giving the Vikings four wins against the Spartans this season. Cayuga is now 13-7 on the season and 4-4 in Region III play.

Munoz and Hudson Valley's Tyler Spenard locked up in a pitchers' duel in the opener, with the Vikings' lone run coming in the first inning on a double steal. Munoz carried a no-hitter into the final inning for Cayuga, but the Spartans could manage only a fifth-inning Jakson Ross single at the plate.

Munoz finished the game with the one earned run in seven innings, one hit and five strikeouts.

In the second game, Cayuga trailed 2-0 in the third before Isaac Allison tripled and scored on a force-out by Kevin Dolan, narrowing the Vikings' lead to one. Hudson Valley scored the rest of the game's runs, though, to earn the win.

Cayuga is home again Sunday, March 30, against SUNY Adirondack. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
