Dewitt Scores First Perfect Round

Griffin Dewitt of Cayuga Community College's Clay Target team scored the squad's first perfect round of the 2024 season during its Week 4 competition.

Dewitt fired a perfect 25 of 25 in the first round on Oct. 13, then followed it up with a second round of 23 of 25. Several other shooters continued to show improvement as the season approaches its final week.

"It's been a bit harder with the shift in weather, but the team has approached that challenge with a great attitude and is still having fun in the process," said Coach Shea Beachner.

Scores from Week 3 and Week 4 are below. Each shooter fires at 25 targets per round, with two rounds completed in each competition.

After four weeks, Dewitt is currently tied for 32^nd out of 58 students in the conference, and is tied for 386^thamong the 657 students in the league. Kot is tied for 24^th in the conference and 290^th in the league.
