Cayuga Community College Men's Basketball lost an away game to Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Saturday.
The Spartans fell behind early and couldn't complete a second-half comeback, losing 70-53. They are now 4-13 on the season.
Cayuga stayed with the Raiders early in the first half, trailing 10-7 before the Raiders went on a lengthy run to lead 41-17 at halftime.
In the second half, the Spartans cut the Raiders' lead to 12 several times, including once on a fast break layup by Samiar Bennett. The Raiders held the double-digit lead, though, throughout the half.
Tony Borges led Cayuga with 14 points and also had eight rebounds, and Marcus Pasha had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Amaree Samuel had nine points, and Bennett had eight. Jorge Jimenez had four assists.
Cayuga is back on the road Tuesday at Finger Lakes Community College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
