Cayuga Cruises Past Mohawk Valley

The Cayuga Men's Lacrosse Team earned its second victory of the season by beating Mohawk Valley Community College 10-1 in a wild snow storm in Utica Tonight.  Mohawk Valley scored the first goal of the game and Cayuga responded with 10 unanswered goals to end the game. The contest was called at the end of the third quarter because of the snow accumulation on the turf field.

Cayuga's Attack led the scoring with Javier Zuniga (San Marcos, CA) and Connor Davenport (Auburn, NY) having 3 goals each.  Marcellus natives Connor Wheeler and David Lilly each had two goals in the win.

Cayuga's defensive effort was excellent in holding MVCC to only 1 goal through 3 quarters of play.  Denzel Conze (Brooklyn, NY) was outstanding on the defensive end forcing several turnovers.  Brad Rowe (Watertown, NY) made 10 saves in goal in the very difficult snow conditions.

Cayuga is back in action on Sunday vs. Herkimer at noon at Corcoran's High School Stadium
