The Cayuga Lady Spartans softball team opened their season against CCBC Catonsville down in Baltimore Maryland on Saturday were they lost both games 9-0 and then 8-0. The Lady Spartans were led by freshmen shortstop Jamison Valentino (Union Springs, NY) who went 2-3 with 1 walk. Outside of Valentino, freshman catcher Nina Kowal (Auburn, NY) added a hit, and Dontasia Britt (Brooklyn, NY) added a double. The Spartans will stay down in Maryland for another double header on Sunday against Division I JUCO Harford.
