Lady Spartans Win over Northampton

The Lady Spartans traveled to Bethlehem PA on Friday where they took the field and played Northampton Community College winning the first game in 7 innings by a score of 7-2 and the second game ended in a tie due to lack of sunlight 4-4 in the 6^th inning.  The Spartans were led by sophomore ace McKenzie Harris (Liverpool, NY) who pitched a 10 strike out 1 hit game.  Nina Kowal (Auburn, NY) has done an outstanding job calling games from behind the plate.  The win was a complete team victory giving the Spartans their 2^nd win of the short season.  The second game proved to me much different as Northampton was able to stay close with the Spartans then entire time due to some errors on the field.  With no daylight left the game had to be called in the top of the 7^th.
