Bio

Coach Chris Amoia and Coach Dave Plish have a combined 30-years of experience as players and as coaches. Coach Amoia and Coach Plish have dedicated over ten years coaching girl’s fast-pitch softball both at the travel ball level and at the high school level. For several years as coaches for the Auburn Xtreme Travel Softball Organization, we were extremely successful by compiling an 85 percent winning record in league and tournament play. Our competitiveness and solid team chemistry allowed us to win several tournament championships. We are highly motivated, dedicated, and experienced coaches who love to teach the game of fast-pitch softball.  We are committed to teaching and learning new strategies, techniques, and tactics that will improve coaching and overall game play. We are extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to coach at the college level and our goal is to bring success to the Cayuga Community College Softball program.

Both Coach Amoia and Coach Plish are lifelong residents of Auburn and alumni of Cayuga Community College. Coach Amoia has been employed for the past 25 years for the United States Marshals Service and is currently the Supervisory Deputy United States Marshal for the Syracuse, New York Division. Coach Amoia is married to his wife Stacy of 23 years and they have 2 daughters, Olivia, 19 and Isabella, 17. Coach Plish has been employed by the City of Auburn for the past 24 years and is currently the Supervisor/Foreman of the Sewer Department. Coach Plish is married to his wife Krista of 21 years and they have 2 daughters, Elizabeth 20, and Marley, 17.
