The Spartans used their best defensive effort of the season to come away with a hard fought 47-45 victory over Broome Community College. Trailing by 3 points with under 5 minutes remaining the Spartans closed the game on a 7-2 run to come away with the victory. Allison Chase (Weedsport, NY) led the Spartans with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Miranda Charlton (Rochester, NY) scored 9 points and pulled down a team high 11 rebounds, and Haylie Karlsen (Romulus, NY) scored 8 points, 4 assists, 3 steals. Cayuga closes out its home schedule Wednesday February 12th at 5:30 against Finger Lakes Community College.
