The Cayuga Lady Spartans could not overcome a horrendous shooting night and dropped a 65-40 decision to visiting Herkimer Community College in the season opener for both teams. Cayuga was led by Dontaisa Britt (Brooklyn, NY) with 12 points, Gabby Bell (Syracuse, NY) with 10 points, Najhea Thompson (Syracuse, NY) added 9 points and Jaylin Kelly (Bloomfield, NY) had 10 rebounds. The Spartans will look to rebound when they travel to Hudson Valley on Saturday and Adirondack on Sunday.
